C: What does SNMP mean? A: SNMP is kind of a misnomer here, but what it does in opus is constantly sending status info about the computer. IRL, SNMP stands for simple network protocol, and is for network monitoring, still kind of similar. C: What kind of information? A: Typical information like the label, status message, uptime, host group, fuel and inventory if it's a turtle, health of the player if it's a neural interface. The network app is populated from these messages, the same info is also available in `_G.network`. -- Anavrins answers questions by Cake on Discord. February 10th, 2021.
